I signed up for my TEAS exam yesterday. The TEAS is the final step before I apply to the nursing program. For those of you who know me, you know I've been working toward this goal for over two years now. It's a little scary .. but mostly it's amazingexcitingfantasticcrazyandawesome that it's almost time to apply! Besides being excited about all of that, I'm just really happy with my life right now! I can't wait to see what the future has in store for my little family and me. :) I hope all of you are having a wonderful week - it's almost Friday! Yaya!

petapalooza

This weekend we took Monk to Petapalooza for the first time. I had heard about Petapalooza in the past but never actually realized it was a pet event ... durrr. So when our friend Ellie invited us I was really excited! I was a little worried because Monk doesn't really like other dogs. He doesn't get aggressive with them or anything, he just gets nervous. It's probably our fault, but whatever. Anyway, we ended up having a really good time! Monk seemed fine around the hundreds of dogs that were there and he was on his best behavior! They had live music, good food, and lots of booths set up with fun stuff for pets! If it would have been about 10 degrees cooler we would have stayed much longer, but all of us (including the dogs) were about to pass out due to heat exhaustion. Hopefully next year it is a little cooler because it's definitely something I would go to again!

Happy Friday, everyone! I am so excited that the weekend is finally here. This week was supposed to be more relaxing than last week, but I realized I had looked at my calendar wrong and I actually had a lot to do. So much for that. Ha. Anyway, since the weather this weekend is supposed to be in the mid to upper 90's (ah!) Joel and I are hoping to spend a lot of time outside. We are thinking about buying some bikes (yeah, we are losers who don't own bikes) and checking out some fun trails or maybe going on a kayaking adventure! Either way, I can't wait! Have a good weekend!

I recently went to H&M and found these two beauties. I have to be honest, I just recently started shopping at H&M. I am just not someone who really likes stores that are always jam packed with people and have 10,000 racks to dig through. However, since I have started shopping at H&M I have found some great stuff! I get why people love it now, but I still refuse to go anywhere near it on a Saturday or Sunday. :)

I know I have been totally absent in the blog world this last week but life has been crazy, wonderful, fun, and busy all at the same time lately! I have been working really hard to make sure I finish the semester strong, we have been spending a lot of time with friends and family, and we have been making sure we enjoy all of this gorgeous weather we are having before it is 110 degrees outside. While we have been having a blast, I'm definitely looking forward to a much quieter and less hectic week. :)

I survived my exams this week and I'm so glad they're over. Now I can relax and spend some time getting excited about Easter! Easter is usually a low key holiday for us but I still appreciate getting dressed up, going to church, and enjoying a delicious brunch. In fact, that's the best kind of holiday if you ask me!

Today is just one of those days. I had one exam this morning and I have another one to study for tonight. Blah. Needless to say, I am very excited for this weekend to get here! Unfortunately, it's only Tuesday. :) I hope all of you are having a better, less stressed out, and more fun day than I am!

Another weekend has come and gone. This weekend was low key but totally awesome. Kansas won their basketball game Saturday night and will be playing in the National Championship game, which just so happens to be tonight! I am just going to assume that everyone will be watching it. :) Besides going out and watching the game, we were pretty cooped up all weekend. I had to study and we both had pretty bad colds. Luckily we are both feeling better and will be able to enjoy the game tonight! Go KU!
